JOHN J. BUDION
John J. Budion is an award winning writer, director, and visual effects artist with over 20 years of experience in the Film and Television world. He started out his career at the tender age of 17, while concurrently working towards his degree at New York University. His visual effects credits include: The Grand Budapest Hotel, Beasts of No Nation, Midsommar, Marriage Story, and many more.
His directing career began in 2008 with an interactive campaign for Motorola starring Danica Patrick. After that he directed on the famous E*Trade “Talking Baby” campaign, numerous co-branded McDonald’s commercials tied in with Dreamwork’s films, and countless other brands.
John made his feature film directorial debut with the wildly acclaimed movie about his childhood, titled ROCKAWAY, that made its worldwide streaming and theatrical premiere last year. Called “An Agonized and Sharply moving film,” by The New Yorker, the film is now streaming on 50+ platforms in over 200 countries.
John is currently slated to direct his sophomore feature film, titled LATCHKEY KIDS, in the summer of 2021.
